Terms of Service

By accessing or using AnswerMage ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By creating an account or embedding the AnswerMage widget on your website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

AnswerMage grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations
• Scrape, index, or train on content you do not own or have the right to use
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its related systems
• Use the Service to transmit spam, malware, or other harmful content to visitors
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer access to the Service to third parties without our prior written consent

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your API key and secret key. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

You must notify us immediately at support@answermage.ai if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account or any security breach.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep this information up to date. Accounts registered with false or misleading information may be suspended or terminated.

Certain features of the Service are available only on paid plans. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the applicable fees to your designated payment method on a recurring basis.

All fees are stated in US dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise noted. You are responsible for paying any taxes, levies, or duties imposed by applicable law.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are issued for unused time. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by AnswerMage and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

You retain ownership of all content you provide to the Service, including website content scraped at your direction and any knowledge entries you create. By using the Service, you grant AnswerMage a limited licence to process this content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service for your account.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to use and direct the scraping of all content you submit to the Service, and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your dashboard. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AnswerMage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice in the dashboard. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were most recently revised.
